Nursing HQ Home Care operates under private (user pays) arrangements and fee-for-service contracts to deliver home and residential-based support, care and coordination services

Fee-for-Service provides additional care and social support to people who are willing to pay for these services. Services may include home or personal care, escort to appointments, or companionship for activities such as going for a walk or out for a coffee.

These services are fully flexible and can therefore be provided upon request as a one-off or on a regular basis, seven days a week. The cost of a service is determined by the hourly rate. For further information or to arrange a service.

QAS provides assistance to palliative patients in their home upon request by a health care professional or personal carer in circumstances where:-

The patient's condition unexpectedly changes,
The patient requires urgent assistance following a fall or other injury, or
The patient requires transport to an alternate facility for ongoing provision of palliative care.

Bloomhill offers immediate emotional support for any person going through the crisis of being diagnosed with cancer. This help extends to include family members and their carers from time of diagnosis.

Bay Islands Transit


Bay Islands Transit System operates a fast and comfortable ferry service to Russell, Macleay, Lamb and Karragarra Islands. Ferries depart approximately every half hour from the Redland Bay Ferry Terminal (Weinam Creek) located on Banana Street, Redland Bay.

The Burnie Brae Transport Service offers a low cost solution for eligible northside residents who have difficulty accessing public transport. A door to door service is provided for those who need help to get to the shops, to activities and events at the Chermside and District Senior Citizens Centre or to other social events.

Communify's door-to-door transport service provides clients with access to shopping, medical appointments and recreational and social activities. This service is supported by volunteers who provide safe, comfortable transport.

CODI Transport


CODI is a transport service available to residents in Ipswich for older people ( seniors), and people living with a disability.

It is able to help with getting to medical appointments and everyday outings to shopping, visiting families and friends

Government subsidies may be available for people over 65 and over 50 for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

Graham House Community Transport


Graham House Community Transport Service provides non acute, non-emergency medical type transport for people who have a short term medical condition or a frailty that prevents them from using conventional private or public transport and who are transport disadvantaged and meet the eligibility criteria of the service.

North Qld Community Transport (TOTTS)


North Queensland Community Transport (TOTTS) provide transport in the Townsville City district to seniors, people with a disability, the disadvantaged, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse and indigenous backgrounds.

Star Community Transport


Special Transport Assistance Redlands Association Inc (STAR) provides transport to Home And Community Care (HACC) eligible clients in the Redlands shire. Users of the service can keep medical appointments, do their shopping, visit a friend or relative, and other things that are important to the person and their quality of life. A subsidised fare applies to the service.

Somerset Community Transport


Somerset Community Transport operate a 12-seater bus servicing regular, affordable, transport to Brassall, Riverlink, Ipswich and Gatton shopping precincts. Transport to and from home is included.

Sealink Ferries


SeaLink Ferries operate travel services available for Magnetic Island, Townsville and Palm Island.

Suncoast Transport & Care


Suncoast Transport and Care operate a volunteer run bus and car service. The community bus services the local area, providing door to door transport for the elderly and people with disability who cannot get out on normal buses to go to their shopping, senior citizens groups etc. Service also take nursing home residents on picnics, swimming outings etc.

Toowoomba Community Care Transport Inc


Toowoomba Community Care Transport Inc. is a volunteer community service that provides transport to and from medical facilities for aged and reasonably mobile persons who may not readily have transport means available to them.

The service is provided for non-urgent, non-stretcher, non-wheelchair cases only, and available within the 4350 postcode only.

No referral from a GP or residential aged care facility is necessary and there is a small administrative fee for the service.

Bribie Island Community Health Transport


Bribie Island Community Help Transport assist eligible clients with transport to enable them to remain independent and socially active.
Persons who utilise the Service would generally experience difficulty safely accessing public transport, or who no longer drive or have limited or no other transport options.

Tamborine Mountain Community Care


Tamborine Mountain Community Care transport can provide weekly shopping trips locally on Thursdays and to a number of Gold Coast shopping Centres on Tuesdays. In addition they can provide transport to enable clients to attend medical appointments including Doctor’s, Dental, Optometry, Physio and Hospital either locally or to various Gold Coast destinations, Brisbane and Ipswich.
